Shreeja Mahila Milk Producer Company Ltd. is the world’s largest women-owned milk producing company with a membership of around 73,000 female milk producers and a revenue of 59.5 million USD. Routing its operations across 2500 milk pooling points spread over 3 states, the client procures 4.5 Lakh litres of milk per day.
The Challenges
The client had to deal with multiple complex and interdependent processes including procurement of raw milk, dairy production planning, dairy process control, quality management, sales order processing and distribution. The mere implementation of ERP was not enough to realize the full potential of ERP solution, there was a strong need to have new methodologies in order to maximize the business opportunities. Right from member management till payments to vendors, the tightly integrated SAP enabled processes needed a significant reduction in process cycle times and effective cost of operations.
